What is it that draws you to cannabis personally?
Definitely the healing aspect of cannabis is first and foremost. I’m a helper and a healer by nature. I like to see people do well in life and I believe the foundation for that starts with your health.
Second to that is the social aspect. The best conversations I’ve had have been around a joint circle, when people really get in deep and aren’t afraid to express what’s on their mind. I've always really appreciated that it.

And is it the same for you professionally?
What launches me out of bed every morning is that I’m going to go be a part of something that’s going to help so many people, whether it’s helping them sleep, or relax, or to help with some kind of ailment. Whether you’re using cannabis recreationally or medicinally, you’ll still get those medicinal benefits. To be a part of that is huge for me. When I look at these plants, I see all that possibility. I see the smiles and the potential to change people lives in a positive way.

Jay discovered cannabis recreationally in high school and then re-discovered it medicinally after studying Chinese medicine and iridology. As an entrepreneur, he built a brand in the legacy market and then helped Top Leaf take its first steps into the legal market, but through it all he’s maintained the belief that cannabis can make the world better.
